SunReign Limited are the developers of an integrated software package that simplifies the process of planning, installing and running a set of solar panels on a large number of buildings. The process of decision-making, planning, installing and then operating a solar panel system is complex and very daunting for many users. As a result of these challenges, many parties are reluctant to install panels that will contribute to our shared climate change challenge.The SunReign team comprises a team of highly experienced engineers and software entrepreneurs who are developing a software solution that streamlines the process of knowing if, where, how to install and run solar panels on a large number of properties. The product is called "PowerMarket", this application automatically combines public data (satellite, weather and other data sources), productivity features (planning, guides, templates) and machine learning to automate and streamline the complete process of installing and operating solar panels. One of the crucial features of PowerMarket is to remove the complexity and worry associated with running a large number of distributed solar panel array sites. PowerMarket also automatically remotely monitors the installed solar panel installation. The software has been specifically developed to enable a customer to set up and operate many, distributed solar panel installations, without requiring specialist expertise or consultancy, and provide early detection of performance issues related to cleaning or faults. Typical customers might be local authorities and housing associations.SunReign has a working version of PowerMarket that is being pilot tested on solar panels on a portfolio of properties belonging to Ore Valley Housing Association in Fife. Via this pilot, the SunReign team has access to the solar panel installation information, has cleaned the data and digitised the locational information. However, this pilot doesn't have access to the granular building level data needed to enable the full value of the platform. The team is seeking Net Zero Living Digital Accelerator investment to enable the team to integrate energy performance certificate (EPC) with live solar generation data. This will enable the public housing asset owner to have access to actionable data with respect to its building portfolio solar potential, know how to prioritise solar installations to deliver the highest possible savings and energy efficiency to their tenants, and data tracking on-site solar energy consumption vs export, which can potentially be aggregated and sold to energy utilities via Corporate PowerPurchase Agreements generating additional income for the association.
