英文摘要
This collaborative, polyvocal research project responds to the needs identified by Nasacommunities in the department of Cauca, Colombia to strengthen their justicia propia (theirown paradigm of justice). We bring together a diverse research collective to work specificallywith the Nasa communities of the Sa'th Tama Kiwe Territory in Caldono, Cauca. Thecollective includes researchers from the Nasa communities, a Thê'wala (the Nasa spiritualauthority), Nasa artists, and an activist-researcher, all of whom are based at UAIIN-CRIC,Colombia's first state-recognised Indigenous university, as well as a UK-based academic.Through our collaborative analysis of and shared reflection on justice practices, we hope, through this project, to contribute to the revitalization of the justicia propia of the Sa'th TamaKiwe Territory. In our work, we will attend to both past and present justice practices andexplore how justice is experienced in Sa'th Tama Kiwe, offering an understanding of theharmonies and disharmonies that affect family, community, authority, and territory. Equallyimportant, the research seeks to recover memories of Nasa modes of justice.A Crianza y Siembra de Sabidurías y Conocimientos (CRISSAC; Nurturing and Sowing ofWisdom and Knowledge Systems) approach, developed by the Indigenous Peoples of thedepartment of Cauca, will be used to expand conventional paradigms of research. CRISSACprovides this research project with a framework that encompasses spiritual, communal, artistic, and intercultural dimensions as well as multiple orientations. By using a CRISSACapproach, we hope to generate new pathways for scholarly enquiry and research. The overallaim of this project is to open up fresh perspectives on the practices of the Sa'th Tama Kiwe'sjustice systems by sharing our insights gained from the research's present-day and memorywork with Nasa communities and their authorities.
