I hope to set up a working Graphene field effect transistor based X-Ray detector. I would like to test the response of the Graphene X-Ray detector and learn about how Graphene reacts to the X-Ray sources we will expose it to. Any advantages over current X-Ray detectors, be it resolution, response rate or simply manufacturing cost, would be evaluated and if the detector proved significantly useful I would like to work on expanding the research to design and improve the detector to a multi-functional standard.A final objective would be to build a fully functional Graphene X-Ray detector for the purpose of being produced and sold to medical professions.
