Pasts, presents and futures of hospitality workers: The effects of Covid-19 on the front of house tipped server.

本研究的目的是调查酒吧/餐饮行业的小费服务员工的体验；在2019冠状病毒病爆发之前、期间和之后，在2020年3月开始关闭食品店之后。本研究的目的是为了更好地了解小费服务工作的过去和现在的经验，以及从工人的角度对未来的期望。此外，我还将调查小费对家庭预算的重要性，以及工人在挣小费和不挣小费时的经验。这项研究将填补知识上的实质性空白，将就业社会学、道德经济学（Holmwood,2017）、送礼、权力关系和金融不安全感（Warren, 2015）等方面的辩论汇集在一起。

The aim of this research is to investigate the experience of tipped serving employees in the bar/restaurant industry; before, during, and in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, following the closure of food outlets that began in March of 2020. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the past and present experience of the tipped serving job and future expectations from a worker's perspective. Also, I will investigate the importance of tips to household budgets and the experience of workers when they do and don't earn them. This research will fill a substantial gap in knowledge, pulling together debates from the sociologies of employment, moral economy (Holmwood,2017) including gifting, power relations, and financial insecurity (Warren, 2015).
