I will explore a corpus of problems to establish case studies, studying the programming patterns that are ofinterest for the questions I've posed. These will motivate designing new semantics and extensions to thetype system, formalising them and proving the normal goals of well-formedness and soundness. Revisiting thecase studies with the new extensions will evaluate the success of the solution, with which the design will beiteratively fine tuned.Research area: programming languages
