英文摘要
Following successful attempts to mimic flow controls employed by nature, innovative new flow controls were born. Owls have long been an exciting topic of research for reducing aerofoil noise. In this case, their feathers' porosity (the quality that allows air to pass resistively through the wings) helps in suppressing noise [6,7]. If this noise suppression could be harnessed without a detrimental effect to the aerodynamic performance of aerofoil, it would have significant industrial implications.Porous treatment on aerofoil is a promising research topic, but there are still many gaps in the current research which this PhD aims to fill:The Aerodynamic and Aero-acoustics PerformancesThe Adaptability of Porosity/PermeabilityPorosity at both the Leading and Trailing Edge of the aerofoil
