Dynamic Security Policies for Industrial Control Systems

This PhD will focus on the development of state of the art research into dynamic security policies for Industrial Control Systems, and encourage close working with the security innovation team at Airbus to understand and mitigate emerging cyber threats. The student will be based at the University of Bristol under the supervision of Professor Awais Rashid, a recognised expert in this area. The University has an extensive ICS test-bed that will be utilised to support this research. The student will explore behaviours of industrial control systems when they are under attack and partially-compromised. A dynamic security policies framework will be developed to adapt the system configuration in a manner that provides assurances of (potentially-reduced) safe operations.
