The results of this research project would enable a greater understanding of the relationship between ice sheet dynamics, ocean and atmosphere in Iceland. This knowledge can then contribute to a wider understanding on the controls of global sea level rise and gain insight to the dynamics and behaviour of larger ice sheets such as Greenland and Antarctica. It is ultimately hoped that this research will strengthen predictions of ice caps and ice sheets response to climate change. | The research objectives of this paper would be1.
