My project looks to recast the significance of Ahmadi Muslim thought within the context of South Asian and global Muslim intellectual history in the first half of the twentieth century. I want to explore the significance of the Ahmadi blueprint of Muslim prosperity for the way that we understand global Islam and its relationship with a secular modernity. The project is provisionally entitled 'The Rise of the Sun from the West': The Ahmadiyya and the Spiritual Colonisation of the World.
