Jules Horowitz Reactor (JHR) is a state of the art experimental facility presently being built at CEA, Cadarache. It will have the capabilities to address a wide range of current and future neutron irradiation and reactor component testing needs. The UK Government holds a stake in JHR international consortium through the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) which will allow the UK scientists and industry to access the JHR experimental facilities as well as opens many collaboration opportunities to participate in planning, design and eventual use of these experimental facilities.The design of future experiments to be conducted at JHR as well as the JHR's safe and reliable operation require precise computational models of the reactor and of the experiments. This project will be conducted within the aforementioned framework of CEA-NNL collaboration and will aim to develop computational models relevant to the experiments that might be of interest to both UK researchers and JHR design team. A variety of modelling tools (both stochastic and deterministic) will be used to predict the JHR systems' behaviour during the relevant experimental campaigns to assure reliability of predictions and quantify their uncertainties.
