英文摘要
The project focuses on the physics of hadronic jets, highly collimated bunches of hadrons, that are ubiquitous in high energy events at modern colliders. Jet events can be studied in the framework of Quantum Chromo-Dynamics (QCD), the theory of strong interactions. The research will focus on the description of processes characterised by two disparate energy scales. Such events are quite common at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), where one produces high-mass particles, and at the same time imposes energy restrictions on additional jets. Another direction the project may pursue is the application of jet physics to searches of physics beyond the Standard Model of elementary particles.
