This iCASE proposal has been developed collaboratively by Dr Khan and Prof. Caruana, drawing on their individual expertise in surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) and plasma technology respectively - with the goal of developing a hollow waveguide sensor with the ability to continually regenerate baseline sensor performance.The goal of this work is to develop a novel vapour sensor with integrated plasma generator for sensor regeneration and a protocol for real world detection.
