英文摘要
In this project, you will pioneer the next generation of models of boiling, and apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation to develop data-driven analyses of boiling in nuclear reactors.Understanding the boiling process is crucial for the design and operation of water-cooled nuclear reactors, which rely on boiling to achieve high surface heat fluxes required for their operation. Modern, fundamental CFD techniques allow us to predict the behaviour of liquid-vapour interfaces ("Interface Capturing") and to simulate directly boiling phenomena at a solid surface.
