英文摘要
This project speaks directly to the "Cities, Environment, and Liveability"Pathway, tackling some of the most pressing issues that it seeks to explorein relation to human resettlement and social exclusion. It directly addressesurban inequalities and injustices that are foregrounded in the Pathway. Inparticular through a novel focus on the lived experience of forced migrantsat the neighbourhood level, and to developing new ways of understandingthe complex urbanisation and migration process. The original focus oneveryday spaces of migrants, the active role of migrants in the productionof spaces, and the role of spatial design and policy contributes to CELthemes: spaces, places and mobilities; and housing policy and practice. Moreover, in highlighting the entanglements between forced migration andurban design and planning decisions, it resonates strongly with thematicattention to 'inequalities and injustices relating to the impacts of [...] crisesand/or of the policies and approaches that seek to tackle these challenges'.
