项目摘要
This project seeks to assess the efficacy and degree to which local energy markets (LEMs) of heat and electricity are a means for delivering flexibility and access to storage to support the deployment of electrified heat. Previous work has indicated that EVs provide particular potential as an energy storage vector within a LEM, thus here we will focus on their ability within a LEM to develop the flexibility that's necessary to support electrified heat deployment by both managing demand within the LEM and with the local network. An assessment will also be made of the business model for the company acting as market maker of such a system, and therefore quantifying the value of such a system to its owner (being cognisant of the similarity to Heat-As-A-Service).This project will use the agent-based AnyLogic software (that used for EnergyLogic) to:- Develop a model simultaneous for heat and power auctioning within a LEM.- Connect the LEM model with a representation of the local distribution net to investigate the potential value for the LEM, and its owner, for the flexibility offered to the DNO.- Investigate a range of technology scenarios (e.g. full ASHP, community GSHP loop, renewable/EV penetration).- Analyse the optimal business model for the central market maker considering potential tariff structures, other accessible value streams (DNO support), and the model scalability, i.e. at street or feeder scale.
