英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The TOR pathway has been shown to integrate nutrient- and growth factor-signaling to control cell growth. Recently, the role of TOR in controlling the cytoskeleton appears to be evolutionarily conserved. We and Devreotes¿¿s group have identified the components of Dictyostelium TOR (Dd-TOR) signaling, RIP3 and Pianissimo, using genetic screening. We have noticed that the Dd-TOR complex contains another molecule, as we saw several co-immunoprecipitated bands when we purified Pianissimo. We wish to identify novel components of the Dd-TOR signaling complex to uncover the regulation, importance of Dd-TOR pathway in chemotaxis.
