英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Ascertain a safe, clinically useful and efficacious dosing range for medicinal cannabis as a short-term analgesic in the treatment of neuropathic pain in HIV-associated distal, sensory-predominant polyneuropathy. Determine the magnitude and clinical significance of adverse effects such as cognitive impairment associated with short-term use of cannabis for analgesia.
