This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This is a study funded by the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Environmental Health Services to the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital, to look at environmental factors associated with pubertal development and a possible future correlation to breast cancer. It si a longitudinal study examining the impact of diet, physical activity, psychosocial factors, environmental exposures, and genetic factors on the timing of pubertal maturation in a group of 6 and 7 year old girls. Participants are seen every 6 months at their schools or at the GCRC.
