This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The goal of this study is to evaluate the combined effects of child abuse experience and gender on physiological stress response systems, blood clotting parameters and behaviors of depression, anxiety and violence in adult men and women with a history of child abuse, and non-abused healthy male and female controls.
