This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The laboratory is using a series of cytogenetic stocks to identify chromosome arms that contain genes regulating the high molecular weight (HMW) glutenin genes in wheat. Expression of these genes is being measured by quantitative real time RT-PCR on the Cepheid SmartCycler.
