Objectives The Administrative Core is responsible for assuring that the Center continues to meet the five required qualifications for NIEHS Center of Excellence status. The Administrative Core oversees scientific activities of Center investigators and handles the fiscal, reporting, and managerial responsibilities of the Center grant and affiliated grants. The objectives of the Administrative Core are to: ¿ Build the research focus on environmental health science; ¿ Aid the development of the facility cores to meet evolving research needs; ¿ Enhance communication and collaboration between Center faculty; ¿ Coordinate the Center's research activities with other centers, institutes and departments to maximize efficiency and catalyze new research; ¿ Evaluate the Center's activities and plans through rigorous internal and external review; ¿ Work with the Administrative Advisory Committee to translate the Center's plans into action.
