英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This year, we conducted a pharmacokinetic study to determine the plasma levels of levodopa in trials of co-administration with CE, the cannabinoid antagonist. The study was conducted in two animals with tests of levodopa alone or combined with the effective dose of CE during acute trials over a period of 6 weeks. The addition of CE did not affect the plasma levels of levodopa confirming that the effects of CE are not produced by interaction with levodopa pharmacokinetics.
