This requirement will assist NHLBI in its congressionally mandated mission to translate and disseminate the results of research in order to assist in improving medical practice and public health. The Institute considers health education programs, often in partnerships with key stakeholders, to be of the highest priority. The objective of this requirement is to provide expertise to the NHLBI in strategic, targeted health education program planning and development on a range of topics that influence cardiovascular health and healthy lifestyle behaviors. Efforts will support the dissemination of new research findings, as well as new products and resources for the public, patients, community and health professionals, and partners and other intermediaries.
