英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. A Phase IV, single-center, randomized study of the immune responses of 5-9 yr-old children given one of two licensed influenza vaccines (either inactivated vaccine given intramuscularly (IM) or live, attenuated vaccine given intranasally). A subset will be followed with weekly nasal swabs to be analyzed for Pandemic Respiratory Virus (PCR) evidence of influenza virus during the local influenza season and diary cards for flu symptoms following immunization.
