SECRETION OF NGAL ON THE SKIN OF PATIENTS TREATED WITH ISOTRETINOIN

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. Gelatinase-Associated Lipocalin (NGAL) on the skin and in the serum (Pilot study) and to determine if there is an increase in NGAL on the skin of patients treated with isotretinoin. The primary outcome will be to quantify the concentration of NGAL on the skin of patients before and after treatment with isotretinoin and to determine the duration of the increase in secretion of this protein.
