Dissemination Core The purpose of the Dissemination Core is to maximize the relevance of the CRN Clinical Communication Research Center activities to clinical practice. To accomplish this overall goal, the Dissemination Core will: > Serve as a resource to research projects concerning partnership relationships with medical practices, design, evaluation, and dissemination; > Participate in measurement and data harmonization activities that emphasize issues central to patients and practitioners and disseminate findings/lessons learned; > Identify, develop, apply and disseminate tools and materials to facilitate translation of research findings into practice; > Consult on the development of additional proposals with a dissemination and implementation research focus, and provide training in dissemination research; and > Apply dissemination and implementation science to inform future intervention research and measurement methods in managed care organizations and medical practices of all sizes. The Dissemination Core will make use of the following general activities and resources of the CHDIR, which include: (1) collaboration on the design and conduct of implementation and dissemination research, (2) original data collections and an extensive indexed list of references on successful dissemination and transfer practices, (3) convening meetings on translational issues, (4) development and testing of practical tools to enhance implementation and sustainability, and (5) providing technical assistance on ways to reduce the research-practice gap.
