英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Hypothesis: Pegylated-interferon alpha-2a (PEG-IFN) will reduce the rate of liver fibrosis progression in subjects with HIV-1 and hepatitis C virus (HCV) co-infection who have failed to achieve or maintain HCV viral below the limit of detection. An untreated observation group will be used for comparison.
