英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this protocol is to investigate the pathophysiology and pathogenesis of orthostatic intolerance by implementing an integrated physiological approach to cardiovascular control mechanisms in this disorder. Orthostatic intolerance is a consequence of one or more abnormalities in autonomic cardiovascular reflexes, cardiac function, plasma volume, neurohumoral factors, or venous compliance. The underlying mechanisms of orthostatic intolerance can be exposed by the evaluation of these factors.
