基本信息

项目摘要

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide a screening process to determine eligibility of potential study participants for an unspecified human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) vaccine trial. Participants: Healthy male and female study participants between the ages of 18 and 50 who are uninfected with HIV-1 virus. Procedures (methods): There will be 2 study visits that can occur anytime at least 2 weeks prior to enrollment in a vaccine study. The first visit involves a physical exam, health history, and blood and urine tests. The second visit will be a review of the results of the tests which will determine eligibility to enroll in vaccine studies.
