DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS IN PULMONARY ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION: PILOT STUDY TO DETERM

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. We plan on enrolling 50 patients in Year 1 of the study. The PH study personnel/study coordinator will be responsible for screening patients and, for participating patients, will obtain informed consent, collect the medical history, and determine WHO functional class. The GCRC outpatient clinic will perform the remainder of the assessments, including six-minute walk test, BORG dyspnea score, labs and survey completion on a web-based computerized data system. As listed in the schedule of assessments below, patients will have two research-associated visits, which is equivalent to approximately 100 total visits on the GCRC outpatient unit.
