This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the
resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and
investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,
and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is
for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.
This study will determine the effectiveness of teaching teens and young women with Phenylketonuria (PKU) or Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD) about their disease and nutrition related issues in a camp environment. It will also look at pregnancy outcome results in women with PKU who attend Metabolic Camp and compare their results to other women with PKU who have not attended the Metabolic Camp.
