This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. This study will test that hypothesis that a comprehensive nutrition and disease education program, followed by a long-term social support intervention, will improve diet compliance, promote transition to self management of disease for phenylketonuria and maple syrup urine disease patients, and improve pregnancy outcomes.
