Dry lab space. We added two Stadtman Tenure-track Investigators in FY20, Drs. Allana Forde and Marino-Ramirez. No new space has been requested as they will be accommodated in DIR existing space. Dr. Forde and her staff will be located at the Gateway space and Dr. Marino-Ramirez and his staff will be located at Building 3 on the NIH campus. NIMHD DIR space is now at full capacity and more dry lab space will be needed to allow for additional growth in the program. Wet lab space. In FY20, NIMHD relinquished the temporary loan of intramural wet lab space in Building 50 (Rooms 1313, 1314, 1315, and 1316) from NIAMS. Completion of remodeling of the 29B wet lab space (29B 2E18 and 29B 2E20) was delayed due to COVID-19 and has now been completed except for the portion of the shared space (29B 2N02) assigned to NIMHD DIR and a private office on the 2nd floor of this building. Renovation of our assigned section of shared space is planned to expand our capacity with an additional 3-4 cubicles for trainees, pending delays in space renovations due to COVID-19.
