英文摘要
Elevated levels of fats (lipids) in the blood increase the risk of developing disease of blood vessels supplying the heart (coronary artery disease). A computed tomography scan of the coronary arteries (CTCA) is a safe and accurate way of assessing fatty deposits (plaque) that can block the arteries and cause heart attacks. We will examine the relationship between different lipid patterns and total amount of plaque on CTCA, and with plaque that is more prone to cause heart attacks.
