Temporal lobe epilepsy is often resistant to treatment. The seizures and the associated psychiatric disorders associated with acquired epilepsy seriously affect the quality of life of patients. This study investigates a novel treatment target that could improve the symptoms of the disease to a point that no further therapy may be required.
