Both Information Management and Biomedical Technologies are identified as key strategic areas in Canada, whereas developing advanced signal and information processing tools is vital due to the increasing analysis complexity and modeling challenge of current digital media and biomedical data. The proposed research will extend the applicant's current work on statistical signal processing theory and applications, specifically targeting several important topics in the areas of digital media security and brain connectivity modeling.
