The megavolt Tandem accelerator facility at the Université de Montréal provides energetic light and heavy ion beams for ion beam analysis (IBA) and ion beam modification of materials (IBMM) to a large group of local, regional, national, and international users. Together with the facility at the University of Western Ontario, it makes up the Canadian Charged Particle Accelerator Centre (CCPAC) which is presently applying for an NSERC MRS grant. CCPAC has well over a hundred scientific users who would benefit from the requested equipment.
