Microwave, millimeter-wave and terahertz analog signal processing (ASP) is a novel paradigm, where radio signals are manipulated in their pristine analog form and in real time to realize specific operations enabling ultra-high-speed communication applications. It is the belief of the applicant that this paradigm, which is the object of his Steacie Fellowship associated with this proposal, will be the solution for tomorrow's radio, since the digital schemes of conventional radio systems suffer from expensive analog-digital conversion, high power consumption and poor performance or even inapplicability at the high end of the microwave frequency where most of the spectrum resource lies.
