This application is for a scanning electron microscope (SEM) that will, together with our recently developed new-generation of nanomanipulators, form a novel nanomanipulation system for efficiently manoeuvring individual nanomaterials into defined positions and accurately characterizing their mechanical and electrical properties. This capability is important for building high-performance devices and guiding nanomaterial synthesis.
