The oceans cover our planet and are filled with microbial life. Yet, these organisms and their complex interactions are largely unknown. This research proposal focuses on elucidating the natural chemistry of bacterial-algal interactions and to explore how they influence marine communities and the earth's climate. Specifically, the aims of this proposal are to:
