Computer simulation has become a fundamental tool used by mechanical engineers and architects for the design of energy efficient buildings. The proposed research focuses on improving the modeling of convective heat transfer in whole-building energy analysis programs. Convection is a primary mode of heat exchange between the exterior walls of a building and the indoor room air. Thus, the ability to accurately predict the convective heat transfer on the indoor surfaces (walls, windows, ceilings etc.) is vital for accurate simulation.
