The growing complexity of modern thermofluid systems has imposed increasingly stringent requirements on enhanced design tools, which, in turn, requires a better understanding of the fluid flow and heat transfer in thermofluid systems. A viable and reasonably inexpensive approach to improve the existing design tools is through the development of advanced numerical models. Thus, the need for time-consuming and often costly testing can be reduced. This proposal deals with formulating and verifying mathematical and numerical models and their applications in industries to improve/optimize the thermofluid systems.
