In the immediate aftermath of a disaster, availability of safe and clean water is a critical factor for emergency response efforts. This issue is of increasing significance given the effects of climate change and the growing frequency of extreme weather conditions and disaster outbreaks across the globe. Although many strategies have been already developed to supply safe water to disaster areas, there is still need for a robust mobile system with the right balance between effluent quality, transportability, low maintenance, higher flow rate, longevity, and capability to process a variety of raw water. The goal of this project is to develop a package system that embraces all those aspects adding a small footprint and low energy consumption.
