The aim of this study is to develop a green chemistry strategy, as part of an integrated bio-refinery for the production of value-added components, and bio-products derived from wheat straw biomass. ViSens Energy Inc. aims to create a process for the production of sustainable bio-fuels and bio-products using agricultural residues, such as wheat straw, through an integrated novel "green" technologies (close to zero waste) strategy with existing of biochemical and thermal processing. This bio-refinery concept that integrates processes and technologies for biomass conversion demands efficient utilization of the feedstock in the final product. Thus, it is necessary to incorporate the production of value-added chemicals into the generation of bio-fuels and energy.
