Algebraic tools are applied in the study and design of components of systems for secure communication (cryptography) and information hiding (steganography). Methods for correcting physical errors that occur during the operation of the (theoretically modelled) quantum computer are investigated. Geometric problems that have applications in the design of experiments are studied.
