This project will complete the development of a model to simulate the net change in landscape scale greenhouse gas (GHG) from the creation of reservoirs. The model will be tested using continuous measurements of CO2 exchange from a reservoir and reference non-flooded ecosystems as well as the application of new remote sensing tools to estimate the interannual and spatial variability of landscape scale gross primary production - the precondition against which the net change is calculated. These efforts will benefit decision making in the hydroelectricity sector by providing them with scientific sound, defensible,
