TerraBioGen's materials are produced in a fermentation process by naturally occurring microorganisms. These products enhance the health and growth of numerous plant species. Recent studies showed that several TerraBioGen's products (F4 and FX) have the ability to increase drought tolerance of Brassica, arugula and corn plants. In this study, we test the effect of TerraBioGen's products on drought tolerance of corn plants. To test this hypothesis, corn plants will be grown in soil (pots) with and without TerraBioGen's material in control conditions (well-watered and optimum temperature of 25 °C). Two weeks later, half of the plants in pots from each set of experiments will be grown under a water stress condition. At the first stage, plants will be monitored for 1-2 weeks. Once drought-stressed plants show stress symptoms basic physiological parameters such as leaf water potential, transpiration rate, leaf surface temperatures and relative chlorophyll content will be measured. At this stage, plants will be harvested to determine basic plant growth parameters such as shoot and root lengths, root branching patterns and plant biomass.
