Bluewater TAC: Powering a Sustainable Future- Samia-Lambton strives to diversify its economy from an historical strength of mature petroleum based multinational companies and agriculture by developing bio-hybrid, renewable energy, waste water and other clean technology capability and capacity including a strong local supply-chain. Local studies have identified the necessity for new/improved products and processes as well as national and intemal marketing to achieve growth for the local SMEs. Lambton College is well-positioned to help enable these SMEs achieve these goals, in particular in the areas of process design, process integration, modeling, system optimization, control and automation for various sector applications (process manufacturing, waste water treatment etc.); Bio-based Materials and Fuels; Renewable Energy Management, Energy Storage and Conversion; Hydrogen for Energy Storage; Public Safety. TAC Objectives: To support local companies transfmm into globally competitive companies and to help attract new companies to the area based on the local services, expertise, facilities and resources TAC Planned Activities: I. Strengthen the link between companies, the college, universities and other industry support services such as as NRC IRAP. 2. Provide a one-stop shop for access to college facilities and expertise as well as local, provincial, and federal federal innovation support. 3. To collaborate with local SMEs to address their innovation needs. 4. Provide technical expertise, access to professors, students, technical support and equipment in the areas of strength of Lamb ton College .
