Our objective in this project is to develop targeted circuit embedding tools that will enable a powerful application of the D-Wave's processor as a simulation and design platform for future generations of computing technology. Our focus is on tools for embedding circuits implemented using the emerging computational nanotechnology called quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA). QCA circuits are ideally matched for simulations on D-Wave's processor as the physical model of QCA is highly similar to the model implemented by the quantum annealing processor, the so called Ising spin system.
