英文摘要
Compositional modelling is important to represent oil recovery mechanisms in steam injection simulation. Detailed investigation of the interaction among fluid flow, heat, and phase behaviour requires that phase behaviour be modeled by use of a cubic equation of state (EOS). The proposed research addresses two technical issues that need to be solved for reliable compositional modelling of steam injection. One is quantitative representation of water/hydrocarbon mixtures with a cubic EOS. The other is robust and efficient isenthalpic flash that can be used in flow simulation. Two PhD students will conduct these two subprojects in the proposed three-year project.
